Baptisms at City Church is one of the most exciting things we do together. And we'd love for you to be a part of it!
Getting baptized is a representation of the new life waiting for you as you follow in the footprints of Jesus. It is for anyone who wants to make a fresh start by receiving the gift that God has given us through Jesus Christ.
Water baptism has two meaningful realities: First, water represents cleansing. Being baptized reminds us that when we trust Jesus for our past, His death has made our sins as "white as snow" (Isaiah 1:18) Secondly, baptism mirrors the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. As you go under the water, your decision to trust Jesus allows God to declare that you are now dead to sin, and alive to God in a brand new way. (Romans 6:11)
The T-shirt you will receive says, "New Creation" because Jesus promises that He alone can give you a fresh start complete with new power, new attitudes and new resources to walk in a totally new direction...and we will proudly walk alongside you in that journey!
If you've made the decision to follow Jesus, getting baptized is your most important next step. (Acts 2:38)
This is not just a private experience, but a rich experience for us to celebrate together with you! It reminds us that we are better together. It reminds us that we will talk together in this journey called life.
